NO-94-27-2 — Meeting the HVAC Needs of the Building Construction Professional
The subject is the philosophy and content of an environmental technology course to teach HVAC fundamentals to students of building construction. In autumn 1989 a survey was made to obtain the reaction and comments of mechanical contractors to a description of an HVAC course in a construction curriculum. Three years later, a comprehensive evaluation of the course was carried out. Selected questions from the course evaluation over this period were examined for students’ comments, and telephone interviews were held with ex-students of the program to assess the relevance of the HVAC course in their jobs.
