Understanding the dynamics of infectious aerosol spread in indoor environment is critical for occupant safety. The COVID-19 pandemic has further highlighted the significance of the research in this area. While many studies have considered contaminant transport in a small indoor environment, limited studies have given attention to understand the spread in commercial and large spaces such as conference rooms, warehouses, etc. This seminar presents the opportunity for building science practitioners, engineers and researchers to understand the intricacies of contaminant transport modeling in commercial spaces. It also provides details on the state-of-the-art simulation methods and approaches for simulating aerosol transport.
