Seminar 47 — Advances in Reactive Air Cleaning Technologies
This product is a zip file that contains files that consist of PowerPoint slides synchronized with the audio-recording of the speaker, PDF files of the slides, and audio only (mp3 format) as noted.
During the current pandemic various air cleaning technologies have emerged in the market. The reactive air cleaning technologies often introduce a constituent in the air to inactivate airborne chemicals and microorganisms. This session provides an overview of such technologies and discuss their pros and cons in deactivating airborne contaminants. A study is presented to demonstrate the use of Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) for evaluating the efficacy of reactive air cleaning technologies. Additionally, a laboratory study is presented to demonstrate reactive air cleaning in enhancing the filter efficiencies.
