Fault Detection and Diagnosis for HVAC Systems
This is an out of print item which has been scanned and made available electronically.
With a greater emphasis on a combination of different and often conflicting performance measures, the processes, systems, and equipment being used in buildings are becoming more and more complex. To assist building operators there is a need for new online methods that will detect problems (faults) as they occur, determine which component or subsystem is failing or has failed, and recommend maintenance schedules and/or repair procedures. This compilation of papers from the 1996 Winter Meeting deals with research on the application of different methods of fault detection and diagnosis in heating systems and chillers and with the selection of an optimal service schedule for vapor compression equipment. 11 papers.
