The Marguerite-Bourgeoys School Board management in 2014 released a call for proposals that targeted an energy performance improvement and a major asset renewal of 44 buildings. To achieve such ambitious goals, the owner chose an outcome-integrated approach. Through a significant reduction (47%) in natural gas consumption and the use of electric heat pumps, the project has reduced greenhouse gas emissions by 3,600 metric tons per year (47%).
